DAILY POWER ANIMAL
Buffalo spirit | Keep hope alive.

Buffalo has come snorting into your life today to bring a message of great hope. Buffalo sacrificed every part of his physical body to support those who hunted him—but he also gave his spirit. And, it’s that spirit of hope, abundance, and a bright future that he brings to you today. If you are experiencing a troubled journey, help is here.

This powerful animal teaches you to empower yourself whenever you feel you have lost all your strength or have too many burdens on your shoulders. The buffalo helps you manifest your desires, live in gratitude, and be true to yourself. When we take our circumstances with optimism, prosperity and abundance naturally appear in our lives. This is the lesson that the buffalo spirit animal wants you to learn.

The buffalo is a solid and stable creature that relies on the abundance of the Universe to move forward. These animals are wild and need enough space to roam freely, so you surely don’t like to feel trapped or forced into something. You are a grateful and respectful person who appreciates and honors every aspect of your life. You are firmly grounded to the earth and its rhythms, and you prefer to take the more straightforward, more natural path, knowing that the planet is brimming with resources available. The buffalo symbolism is a reminder you don’t need to look outside for happiness. You already have everything you need within you, and your attitude toward abundance influences all of your experiences and interactions. As long as you remain grateful, the stream of abundance will never stop, and the Universe will help you overcome any problems you encounter. Also, the buffalo spirit reminds us of the extraordinary force we possess, even in those difficult moments. These animals are strong and resilient in the face of storms, for they draw their strength from their hearts.

Buffaloes are strong, truthful, and stable animals. Buffalo is not afraid of new challenges. They are very optimistic and cheerful and like to hang out with all kinds of people. Buffalo can make friends very quickly, as they are loyal and committed. They also have a strong drive and determination that few things can shake. When things don’t go as expected, they don’t get discouraged or decide to give up. Buffaloes know that everything will work out the way they want as long as they hold on to their goals and keep moving forward. Buffalo spirit can be very unpredictable when provoked. They are aggressive and ruthless when they have to stand up for their pride or teach others a lesson. They also tend to store up their frustrations and pile them up until they explode. So they have to remember to express their discontent and let off steam regularly.

DAILY ORACLE CARD
II | HIGH PRIESTESS

You’ve most likely encountered the High Priestess before, but in other forms – she can be seen in the archetypes of Persephone, Artemis, Isis and many more. When you encounter her, you will see her sitting on a cubic stone between the two pillars at Solomon’s Temple, Jachin, and Boaz. Jachin (right) is generally referred to as the Pillar of Establishment and Boaz (left) is the Pillar of Strength. The pillars also depict the duality of nature; masculine and feminine, good and evil, negative and positive.

The High Priestess’s location between the two suggests that it is her responsibility to serve as a mediator between the depths of the reality. She is the third pillar – the path between. She believes that both pillars are equal and there is knowledge to be learned in both worlds. You will also notice that she wears the crown of Isis which can mean that she is a believer of magic. The high priestess wearing of the solar cross denotes that she is connected to the season of the earth and the earth itself. The crescent moon at her feet is seen also in many depictions of the Virgin Mary, and means that she has a complete grasp over her emotion and the pomegranates refer to the ambition of the priestess.

The meaning of the High Priestess is related with inner knowledge. Her appearance in a reading can signify that it is time for you to listen to your intuition rather than prioritizing your intellect and conscious mind. When the High Priestess shows up it can depict an archetype known as the divine feminine – the mysterious female that understands and holds the answers to the deep unknowns; religion, self, nature. She represents someone that is intuitive, and beginning to open to her or his spirituality. Meditation, prayer and new spiritual work is indicated.

Her appearance in a reading can signify that it is time for you to listen to your intuition rather than prioritizing your intellect and conscious mind.

The card itself shows a night-time scene, meaning that the world in which she protects and guards is one that may at first seem frightening, but has the potential to lead us into the growth of the self. When she appears in a reading, she is calling to you to listen to her message, and follow her into your own depths. There is searching within yourself to be done for the answers that you seek. The answers to the questions you have are within, not without.

DECEMBER 2022 LUNAR CALENDAR

THU – FRI DECEMBER 29-30th: First Quarter Moon in Aries. The feeling of uncertainty can make you solve problems faster than is natural. Do not rush as if there was a deadline. Try to slow down so that you can decide what you want to do and proceed at your own comfortable pace.

DECEMBER 2022 ASTROLOGICAL CALENDAR

On the 20th, Jupiter enters Aries. Jupiter first entered Aries on May 10th, but after turning retrograde on July 28th, it returned to Pisces on October 28th. Now, Jupiter re-enters Aries, where it will stay until May 16th, 2023. This transit encourages us to embrace our enterprising spirit and independence.

With Jupiter in Aries, we make our own opportunities, and we thrive when we take the lead, initiate, inspire others, and demonstrate enthusiasm and courage. Prosperous areas are ones that allow us to head and lead, and to innovate. Faith in ourselves can bring about positive circumstances or good luck.

Faith in our ability to reinvent our lives and to move forward with confidence in spite of challenges we may be leaving behind is strong during this cycle. We believe that “life is what you make it,” and we enjoy competition as it pushes us to do better. Our belief in ourselves brings a spirit of the pioneer. We live in the “now” and quickly seize opportunities. However, we should watch for taking any of these things too far, a me-first attitude that can be insensitive, failing to consider others’ viewpoints and leaving opportunities behind as a result, over-confidence, not learning from past mistakes, and a lack of objectivity.

Chiron turns direct on December 23rd after retrograde motion since July 19th. Emotional truths about matters we’ve been avoiding or confused about begin to emerge now and in the coming weeks. While not always comfortable revelations, they can serve to motivate us to take appropriate action.

Also on December 23rd, the New Moon occurs in the sign of Capricorn, stirring a new beginning. We recognize that having some boundaries and rules in place frees us up to enjoy ourselves as we meet our responsibilities. This lunation offers us the opportunity to set practical, attainable goals and work on developing maturity, self-discipline, and common sense. We’re prompted to consider and prepare for the future.

Jupiter forms a semi-square Uranus on December 23rd. This is the final of three transits, with the other two perfections on May 11th and September 28th. This transit is a minor but longer-term aspect. We can feel a little restless, wanting to grow, improve, and innovate, but we’re not necessarily focused. We could find it difficult to agree with others, or it’s hard to find common ground. We need to be willing to make changes in our lives now, or change will come in perhaps unwanted forms. This is a rebellious, restless influence, and we should avoid random moves. It’s best to tap into areas that may need some attention and improvement. We might open ourselves up to new ways of thinking, but we could also too easily avoid taking responsibility for things that truly matter. While watching for impractical ventures and unusual tangents with weak staying power, we should connect with our desire to innovate.

On December 29th, Mercury turns retrograde in the sign of Capricorn, and it will continue its retrograde journey until January 18th. Some delays or information clogs are possible. With Mercury retrograde in Capricorn for the whole cycle, we may have little tolerance for small talk and tend to express ourselves after much deliberation. Plans may be considered then reconsidered. We are in a good position to reevaluate professional or life path plans and goals. It’s also a fine time to explore what ambition or our reputation means to us.
