DAILY ANIMAL SPIRIT
Bat spirit | Prepare for transformation.

Bat’s internal radar is exceptionally attuned—is yours? Because Bat medicine is the medicine of transformation, he is asking you to re-examine your life to determine (using all of your senses) what is worth keeping and what needs to be discarded. For every death there is a rebirth and Bat is here to help you decide what goes and what stays.

Bats emerge at night because their eyesight is not well developed. However, this means their remaining senses are well-honed and they can navigate their way through the world thanks to their intuition. These animals warn you when a major change is coming and ask you not to resist. In the end, this shift will help you find your true purpose in life.

The Bat has different meanings. If you encounter it several times during your daily activities, in dreams, or in the form of messages, it is trying to warn you about a meaningful change that will soon come into your life. Specifically, the bat asks you to pay attention to your surroundings, especially if you tend to overlook them. These impulses can be physical, mental, or emotional in the form of intuitions or hunches. The bat symbolizes the death of a part of your ego that no longer serves your true purpose, inviting you to leave a space for a new dimension to emerge. It is time to act differently, follow your intuition, get out of the beaten path, and reinvent yourself. The more you embrace this new destiny, the more the Universe will support you and make it easier for you to navigate changes. The bat symbolism can also mean that you should not stop pursuing your spiritual development. Don’t be distracted by the whims of your ego. Listen to your inner self and follow your higher calling. Consider if it is time to renew your thoughts and beliefs for ones that allow for personal growth. The bat also reminds you to stay in the present and don’t let your fears and anxieties get the better of you. By doing so, the answers will come to you more clearly. The only thing you have to fear is fear itself.

Bats are very intuitive creatures that are highly aware of their surroundings. They can see through people’s illusions and intentions and are very gifted. These animals are keenly perceptive of situations and people. If this is your spirit animal, you are extremely social and value your friendships and family. Bats feel content when they can make others happy. These animals are not afraid of change. They trust their intuition and resilience. Bats renew themselves every night when they go out to look for food accompanied by the moonlight. Bats are excellent communicators. They are among the most vocal mammals and produce calls to mate, find a fellow bat, or defend themselves from enemies. These calls have a very low frequency and can travel long distances. Also, these animals sleep and give birth hanging upside down, which demonstrates their enormous strength and endurance to see things from another perspective.

DAILY ORACLE CARD
VII | 7 OF SWORDS

In the Seven of Swords card, there is a man that is seen running away sneakily from a camp of some sort, while carrying five swords in his hands. Behind him, two other swords are on standing on the ground. From this image, we can deduce that the Seven of Swords is about stealth, getting away with something, deception or betrayal.

The expression on the man’s face shows quite a bit of confidence, and he seems to be sure of his success on this mission of stealing the swords. Unfortunately for him though, on the left there seems to be a group of soldiers who have discovered the theft and one soldier is actually raising a flag or a weapon as if to signal his pursuit.

The Seven of Swords in general, is said to be about betrayal and deception. When you get this card, it may imply that you or someone else in your life is having difficulty getting away with something. There are instances when we are forced to be sneaky, hoping that we will not be discovered. When we are found out, we have to face the consequences – whether it’s embarrassment, punishment, or worse. Sometimes this happens when there are instances when you had to think on your feet, and did something that was somewhat shrewd and out of character. Now there is a danger of the secret coming out.

There are instances when we are forced to be sneaky, hoping that we will not be discovered. When we are found out, we have to face the consequences.

You may be tempted to sneak away from somewhere, indicating a situation that is no longer working as expected. Instead of dealing with it, you choose to sneak away and hope that you will go unnoticed. Perhaps you were hoping that this issue would just resolve itself over time, and you’ve neglected it – leaving it to only grow and get worse.

The big question, when looking at the Seven of Swords, is whether escaping will solve this problem that you are facing. While you might be thinking that you have gotten away, you discover that the situation has cornered you and you are found out as you are trying to escape.

There are instances when the Seven of Swords may indicate the willingness to go solo. You may have the urge to explore and discover some things on your own. This can be an effective approach if you want to assert your independence and bypass group agreement. The Seven of Swords symbolism may be encouraging you to go on this path; sometimes innovation comes from a rogue genius.

DECEMBER 2022 LUNAR CALENDAR

FRI DECEMBER 16th: Last Quarter Moon in Virgo. Your feeling of safety is now related to order and clarity, even in emotions. You may have the need to organize everything chaotic and disorganized. Try being more tolerant and accepting the imperfections of life. It is better to trust life and let it run its own way, not everything must be according to our expectations.

FRI DECEMBER 23rd: New Moon in Capricorn. You might have a strong need for being useful to society and you look for justification in the outside world. You may underestimate what you want from yourself and for yourself. Shyness may be accompanied by resentment of the fact that others ignore you. Do not seek approval from the outside, it will not help you get rid of your doubt and it is harmful to you. You have to trust your inner values.

THU – FRI DECEMBER 29-30th: First Quarter Moon in Aries. The feeling of uncertainty can make you solve problems faster than is natural. Do not rush as if there was a deadline. Try to slow down so that you can decide what you want to do and proceed at your own comfortable pace.

DECEMBER 2022 ASTROLOGICAL CALENDAR

On the 20th, Jupiter enters Aries. Jupiter first entered Aries on May 10th, but after turning retrograde on July 28th, it returned to Pisces on October 28th. Now, Jupiter re-enters Aries, where it will stay until May 16th, 2023. This transit encourages us to embrace our enterprising spirit and independence.

With Jupiter in Aries, we make our own opportunities, and we thrive when we take the lead, initiate, inspire others, and demonstrate enthusiasm and courage. Prosperous areas are ones that allow us to head and lead, and to innovate. Faith in ourselves can bring about positive circumstances or good luck.

Faith in our ability to reinvent our lives and to move forward with confidence in spite of challenges we may be leaving behind is strong during this cycle. We believe that “life is what you make it,” and we enjoy competition as it pushes us to do better. Our belief in ourselves brings a spirit of the pioneer. We live in the “now” and quickly seize opportunities. However, we should watch for taking any of these things too far, a me-first attitude that can be insensitive, failing to consider others’ viewpoints and leaving opportunities behind as a result, over-confidence, not learning from past mistakes, and a lack of objectivity.

Chiron turns direct on December 23rd after retrograde motion since July 19th. Emotional truths about matters we’ve been avoiding or confused about begin to emerge now and in the coming weeks. While not always comfortable revelations, they can serve to motivate us to take appropriate action.

Also on December 23rd, the New Moon occurs in the sign of Capricorn, stirring a new beginning. We recognize that having some boundaries and rules in place frees us up to enjoy ourselves as we meet our responsibilities. This lunation offers us the opportunity to set practical, attainable goals and work on developing maturity, self-discipline, and common sense. We’re prompted to consider and prepare for the future.

Jupiter forms a semi-square Uranus on December 23rd. This is the final of three transits, with the other two perfections on May 11th and September 28th. This transit is a minor but longer-term aspect. We can feel a little restless, wanting to grow, improve, and innovate, but we’re not necessarily focused. We could find it difficult to agree with others, or it’s hard to find common ground. We need to be willing to make changes in our lives now, or change will come in perhaps unwanted forms. This is a rebellious, restless influence, and we should avoid random moves. It’s best to tap into areas that may need some attention and improvement. We might open ourselves up to new ways of thinking, but we could also too easily avoid taking responsibility for things that truly matter. While watching for impractical ventures and unusual tangents with weak staying power, we should connect with our desire to innovate.

On December 29th, Mercury turns retrograde in the sign of Capricorn, and it will continue its retrograde journey until January 18th. Some delays or information clogs are possible. With Mercury retrograde in Capricorn for the whole cycle, we may have little tolerance for small talk and tend to express ourselves after much deliberation. Plans may be considered then reconsidered. We are in a good position to reevaluate professional or life path plans and goals. It’s also a fine time to explore what ambition or our reputation means to us.
