DAILY ANIMAL SPIRIT
Ant spirit |
Be patient, industrious, and focused.

Ants may be small, but did you see how hard and diligently they carry those heavy leaves on their shoulders? This is one of the messages that Ant wants to remind you of. Ant is dutiful, patient, industrious and focused. If you ever put an obstacle in the middle of an ant trail, you’ll notice that ant will go over it, around it, or even under it—but ant will NOT let the obstacle drive him backward. Above all, ant is a team player, and knows that if each member of the team does his assigned task, the team will succeed. Do you have goals that are best met by team effort? If so, get the other players off the bench and let them into your game.

Ants can be found everywhere in the world. We may not notice them, but they are in our backyard, on our way to work, even in our kitchen. They have very strong subterranean colonies they build with their determination, hard work, and commitment. These animals represent willpower, courage, patience, tenacity, and strength. They look powerless, but they are capable of lifting up to 20 times their own weight!

It’s as if an ordinary person could lift a ton of weight and still walk back home. Therefore, this animal symbolizes how great things come after a great effort. They teach you not to lose your motivation and to go that extra mile until you reach your goal. When you feel you can’t take it anymore and you are about to give up, the ant will come to your rescue, revealing new and greater power in places you never imagined. Likewise, when you are going through a painful or emotionally draining experience, the ant indicates that this situation will pay off in the future.

The ant’s message is to set clear and ambitious goals, and not to be discouraged by the negative feedback of outsiders. If you tend to procrastinate or do things halfway, the ant encourages you to be more orderly, to put your affairs in order, and to be more committed to your tasks. It also prompts you to think about how every decision you make affects your family, your career, and your overall future. No matter how small your task or contribution is, it is still essential.

The Ant often portrays traits and attributes that you possess but you might have forgotten. Knowing more about the behavior and drives of this animal will teach you more about yourself. Moreover, it will encourage you to develop those talents that you have not yet exploited. Ants play an extremely important role in the world’s ecosystem. Their movements prepare the soil enabling the plants to absorb all the nutrients. Ants live in colonies that are very efficiently organized. Together they form a powerful civilization, and each of them has a specific and important task to perform. If the ant is your spirit animal, you cherish or embody traits such as patience, determination, hard work, dedication, and teamwork. Although they have a queen ant, most of the ant population are workers, each one fulfilling a very important and specific role for the colony to function properly. Tasks vary from guarding the queen, taking care of the eggs, bringing food, or building shelters. All the ants work so synchronized that they form a super functional and powerful organism as if the colony were a single entity. It is therefore important to emphasize that ants are not selfish or individualistic. They always work for the common good, serve their community, and are loyal to their family.

DAILY ORACLE CARD
XV. THE DEVIL

This card shows the Devil represented in his most well-known satyr form, otherwise known as Baphomet. Along with being half goat and half man, the devil has bat wings and an inverted pentagram on his forehead. He is standing on a pedestal, to which are chained a nude man and woman, as if to show that he has dominion over them.

Both the man and the woman have horns, as if to show that the more time they spend with the Devil, the less human they become. The chains make it appear as though the devil has taken them captive. The man has a flame on his tail while a woman has a bowl of grapes on her tail, which symbolizes their addiction to power and finer things in life, respectively.

Looking closely, both the man and the woman don’t look happy.  Their individual power has been taken from them, leaving them exposed and ashamed in their nakedness.

The devil card shows that you have feelings of entrapment, emptiness, and lack of fulfillment in your life. It might also mean that you are a slave to materialism and opulence and no matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to shake off the feeling of wanting to indulge in luxurious living.

You might be aware that this kind of lifestyle is leading you down the rabbit hole, but you have that feeling of not having any form of control over your actions or urges.

Addiction to substances or material pleasures can also be the reason for your feelings of powerlessness and entrapment.

Addiction to substances or material pleasures can also be the reason for your feelings of powerlessness and entrapment. In situations such as these, you may feel as though you are a slave, unable to control your impulses or willpower to direct yourself towards something other than the satisfaction of these desires.

DECEMBER 2022 LUNAR CALENDAR

FRI DECEMBER 16th: Last Quarter Moon in Virgo. Your feeling of safety is now related to order and clarity, even in emotions. You may have the need to organize everything chaotic and disorganized. Try being more tolerant and accepting the imperfections of life. It is better to trust life and let it run its own way, not everything must be according to our expectations.

FRI DECEMBER 23rd: New Moon in Capricorn. You might have a strong need for being useful to society and you look for justification in the outside world. You may underestimate what you want from yourself and for yourself. Shyness may be accompanied by resentment of the fact that others ignore you. Do not seek approval from the outside, it will not help you get rid of your doubt and it is harmful to you. You have to trust your inner values.

THU – FRI DECEMBER 29-30th: First Quarter Moon in Aries. The feeling of uncertainty can make you solve problems faster than is natural. Do not rush as if there was a deadline. Try to slow down so that you can decide what you want to do and proceed at your own comfortable pace.

DECEMBER 2022 ASTROLOGICAL CALENDAR

On the 20th, Jupiter enters Aries. Jupiter first entered Aries on May 10th, but after turning retrograde on July 28th, it returned to Pisces on October 28th. Now, Jupiter re-enters Aries, where it will stay until May 16th, 2023. This transit encourages us to embrace our enterprising spirit and independence.

With Jupiter in Aries, we make our own opportunities, and we thrive when we take the lead, initiate, inspire others, and demonstrate enthusiasm and courage. Prosperous areas are ones that allow us to head and lead, and to innovate. Faith in ourselves can bring about positive circumstances or good luck.

Faith in our ability to reinvent our lives and to move forward with confidence in spite of challenges we may be leaving behind is strong during this cycle. We believe that “life is what you make it,” and we enjoy competition as it pushes us to do better. Our belief in ourselves brings a spirit of the pioneer. We live in the “now” and quickly seize opportunities. However, we should watch for taking any of these things too far, a me-first attitude that can be insensitive, failing to consider others’ viewpoints and leaving opportunities behind as a result, over-confidence, not learning from past mistakes, and a lack of objectivity.

Chiron turns direct on December 23rd after retrograde motion since July 19th. Emotional truths about matters we’ve been avoiding or confused about begin to emerge now and in the coming weeks. While not always comfortable revelations, they can serve to motivate us to take appropriate action.

Also on December 23rd, the New Moon occurs in the sign of Capricorn, stirring a new beginning. We recognize that having some boundaries and rules in place frees us up to enjoy ourselves as we meet our responsibilities. This lunation offers us the opportunity to set practical, attainable goals and work on developing maturity, self-discipline, and common sense. We’re prompted to consider and prepare for the future.

Jupiter forms a semi-square Uranus on December 23rd. This is the final of three transits, with the other two perfections on May 11th and September 28th. This transit is a minor but longer-term aspect. We can feel a little restless, wanting to grow, improve, and innovate, but we’re not necessarily focused. We could find it difficult to agree with others, or it’s hard to find common ground. We need to be willing to make changes in our lives now, or change will come in perhaps unwanted forms. This is a rebellious, restless influence, and we should avoid random moves. It’s best to tap into areas that may need some attention and improvement. We might open ourselves up to new ways of thinking, but we could also too easily avoid taking responsibility for things that truly matter. While watching for impractical ventures and unusual tangents with weak staying power, we should connect with our desire to innovate.

On December 29th, Mercury turns retrograde in the sign of Capricorn, and it will continue its retrograde journey until January 18th. Some delays or information clogs are possible. With Mercury retrograde in Capricorn for the whole cycle, we may have little tolerance for small talk and tend to express ourselves after much deliberation. Plans may be considered then reconsidered. We are in a good position to reevaluate professional or life path plans and goals. It’s also a fine time to explore what ambition or our reputation means to us.
