DAILY ANIMAL SPIRIT
Dolphin
spirit | Engage in joyful play.

Ever watched a school of dolphins playing with each other, or with the surfers in their midst? If you have, you’ll understand the message Dolphin brings today—the message of joyful play. Dolphins are in total harmony with their environment, and practice love for each other—always helping the young, or a sick comrade. Join Dolphin’s happy community today and celebrate how much we’re all alike, instead of focusing on our differences.

We are amazed and intrigued by the nature of this animal. It represents divine love. With its communication skills, playfulness, ability to solve complex tasks, and willingness to help and guide other species, this animal is by far one of a kind. Dolphins have a strong individuality and play a unique role in a group setting. There isn’t one single pattern of behavior that we can relate them to, as they are all different from each other. If you relate to the Dolphin, you are most likely playful, curious, intelligent, kind, cooperative, gentle, and communicative. You feel an almost altruistic love towards humanity and all of earth’s creatures. Being gentle and kind comes naturally to you – as you are probably spiritually awakened, you understand that everything plays a divine part in the universe’s play.

It is believed that dolphins have psychic abilities. They seem to understand the higher truths in life and apply them daily. When you can see the whole picture, the only thing that’s left is enjoying the part you play in it. Dolphins have effortlessly accepted their fate and have decided to get the most out of every experience life has to offer. They are considered the most intelligent animals on earth -some proof of that is the ability to use different objects to achieve their goals, having complex emotions, like grieving the death of loved ones, mimicking and teasing others as a form of entertainment, and being gentle to other species.

Dolphins are the connection between humanity and nature. They embody the elements of water and air. Their higher intelligence is represented by the element Air, while Water is a sign of emotional depth. They embody joyful energy, filled with curiosity and intuitiveness. However, their playfulness comes from their ability to see the bigger picture and to care about other animals. Dolphins can be seen as humans’ best friends in the ocean. For centuries they have been guiding us, swimming with us, and helping us through different experiences in our life, including the miracle of giving birth. They are a symbol of protection – there are various tales of them saving sailors from drowning. In Greek mythology, they are guides who have helped people go through different realms. In this sense, dolphins are not only associated with intelligence and playfulness but with protection and spiritual awakening. They are thought to have metaphysical qualities. They can sense different animals and because of their highly developed brains, they know how to appropriately react to any situation. A sign of their high emotional intelligence is their ability to play with each other and other species. This is one of the few animals that experience such a colorful palette of feelings and is entitled to having an authentic personality. This means that there is no universal knowledge of how dolphins behave. Whether they’re introverted or extroverted differs from one animal to another. However, the personality trait that they all share this kindness and curiosity.

DAILY ORACLE CARD
XIII. DEATH

Here, we see Death riding a beautiful white horse while holding up a black flag with a white pattern. It is portrayed as a living skeleton, the bones being the only part of the human body existing after death. He wears armor, which gives him his invincibility – signaling that no one can destroy Death. The white horse that he rides stands for purity, as Death purifies everyone. Beneath him, all classes of humans lie in the dirt – a king, and a pauper, meant to remind us that death does not differentiate between class, race, gender.

Death is one of the most feared cards in a Tarot Deck, and it is very misunderstood. Many people avoid mentioning this card because it has that much power. Most times, people take the name of the card literally. However, the real meaning within the Death card is one of the most positive in the whole deck.

The Death card signals that one major phase in your life is ending, and a new one is going to start. You just need to close one door, so the new one will open. The past needs to be placed behind you, so you can focus your energy on what is ahead of you.

The Death card signals that one major phase in your life is ending, and a new one is going to start.

Another meaning is that you are going to go through a major change, transition, or transformation. The old version of you needs to ‘die’ to allow the new you to be created. This can be a scary time for you because you may be unsure of what will happen in the future. Even if you are scared, you should welcome the change because you are opening the door to new life events.

Death can also mean that you need to let go of any unhealthy attachments that you have in your life. This is an important part of life, so learning to keep moving forward is one of the lessons Death teaches us.

DECEMBER 2022 LUNAR CALENDAR

THU DECEMBER 8th: Full Moon in Gemini. Moon in Gemini manifests itself through the need for changes and spontaneity. Safety lies in thinking about your feelings and sharing them with others. You can be more talkative and speak with ease these days. You might have a better ability to keep a cool head, but beware, a cold heart can discourage others. Harmony of thinking and feeling is important.

FRI DECEMBER 16th: Last Quarter Moon in Virgo. Your feeling of safety is now related to order and clarity, even in emotions. You may have the need to organize everything chaotic and disorganized. Try being more tolerant and accepting the imperfections of life. It is better to trust life and let it run its own way, not everything must be according to our expectations.

FRI DECEMBER 23rd: New Moon in Capricorn. You might have a strong need for being useful to society and you look for justification in the outside world. You may underestimate what you want from yourself and for yourself. Shyness may be accompanied by resentment of the fact that others ignore you. Do not seek approval from the outside, it will not help you get rid of your doubt and it is harmful to you. You have to trust your inner values.

THU – FRI DECEMBER 29-30th: First Quarter Moon in Aries. The feeling of uncertainty can make you solve problems faster than is natural. Do not rush as if there was a deadline. Try to slow down so that you can decide what you want to do and proceed at your own comfortable pace.

DECEMBER 2022 ASTROLOGICAL CALENDAR

On November 23rd, the New Moon occurred in the sign of Sagittarius, prompting a new beginning. This energy sticks with us in December and awakens the adventurer in us. It prompts a focus on goals that increase our understanding and awareness, give us the courage to expand our horizons, and gain confidence and optimism through a broader perspective. With this potent Sagittarius energy, we discover ways to transcend the details of day-to-day life and nurture our faith, hope, and vision.

On December 3rd, Neptune turns direct after retrograde motion since June 28th. We may begin to face some illusions we’ve held onto, confusing situations become clearer, and our creativity soars, or at least, we are more inclined to apply our creativity in the real world. We have more faith in our own dreams and visions, in others, and in our belief systems. Increasingly, we seek inspiration from external sources.

On December 7th, a Full Moon occurs in the sign of Gemini. This lunation can bring sudden awareness to our lives and a rather urgent “need to know.” We may want to get an important message across, finish a communications project, or make an announcement. Travel and communications are in strong focus. The Moon aligns with retrograde Mars around the time of this Full Moon, and it can be an especially revealing time as it’s likely to pull up unrest, resentment, and buried frustrations. We should watch for too-quick decisions and actions while paying close attention to what illuminates.

On the 20th, Jupiter enters Aries. Jupiter first entered Aries on May 10th, but after turning retrograde on July 28th, it returned to Pisces on October 28th. Now, Jupiter re-enters Aries, where it will stay until May 16th, 2023. This transit encourages us to embrace our enterprising spirit and independence.

With Jupiter in Aries, we make our own opportunities, and we thrive when we take the lead, initiate, inspire others, and demonstrate enthusiasm and courage. Prosperous areas are ones that allow us to head and lead, and to innovate. Faith in ourselves can bring about positive circumstances or good luck.

Faith in our ability to reinvent our lives and to move forward with confidence in spite of challenges we may be leaving behind is strong during this cycle. We believe that “life is what you make it,” and we enjoy competition as it pushes us to do better. Our belief in ourselves brings a spirit of the pioneer. We live in the “now” and quickly seize opportunities. However, we should watch for taking any of these things too far, a me-first attitude that can be insensitive, failing to consider others’ viewpoints and leaving opportunities behind as a result, over-confidence, not learning from past mistakes, and a lack of objectivity.

Chiron turns direct on December 23rd after retrograde motion since July 19th. Emotional truths about matters we’ve been avoiding or confused about begin to emerge now and in the coming weeks. While not always comfortable revelations, they can serve to motivate us to take appropriate action.

Also on December 23rd, the New Moon occurs in the sign of Capricorn, stirring a new beginning. We recognize that having some boundaries and rules in place frees us up to enjoy ourselves as we meet our responsibilities. This lunation offers us the opportunity to set practical, attainable goals and work on developing maturity, self-discipline, and common sense. We’re prompted to consider and prepare for the future.

Jupiter forms a semi-square Uranus on December 23rd. This is the final of three transits, with the other two perfections on May 11th and September 28th. This transit is a minor but longer-term aspect. We can feel a little restless, wanting to grow, improve, and innovate, but we’re not necessarily focused. We could find it difficult to agree with others, or it’s hard to find common ground. We need to be willing to make changes in our lives now, or change will come in perhaps unwanted forms. This is a rebellious, restless influence, and we should avoid random moves. It’s best to tap into areas that may need some attention and improvement. We might open ourselves up to new ways of thinking, but we could also too easily avoid taking responsibility for things that truly matter. While watching for impractical ventures and unusual tangents with weak staying power, we should connect with our desire to innovate.

On December 29th, Mercury turns retrograde in the sign of Capricorn, and it will continue its retrograde journey until January 18th. Some delays or information clogs are possible. With Mercury retrograde in Capricorn for the whole cycle, we may have little tolerance for small talk and tend to express ourselves after much deliberation. Plans may be considered then reconsidered. We are in a good position to reevaluate professional or life path plans and goals. It’s also a fine time to explore what ambition or our reputation means to us.
