Venus and Mars in Capricorn oppose the Cancer moon today. When the divine feminine connects with action planet Mars, sparks fly. This pairing is helpful when one is trying to create a sensual life, full of sexual attraction and chemistry. You might find that after months of working on a relationship, you’re now willing to take things to the next level and make it physical.

Don’t forget that Venus was retrograde for 40 days and 40 nights, ending its planetary moonwalk on January 29. However, Venus is still in its post-retrograde phase and ready to deal with issues that came to light during the retrograde. This is when healing can take place, but only if you’re ready to let go of the past and move toward a better place in your current life.

With both Venus and Mars in Capricorn, we want to do the work that can move us toward greater heights in relationships, especially in the relationship that we have with ourselves. If you’ve been thinking about spending more time with someone special, now is the time to do so. You’ll be surprised by how quickly a relationship can evolve and deepen.

Today’s environment is both active and optimistic. Awareness expands throughout the day. Some may feel as though a weight has been lifted. Others will begin to recognize the value of resources and tools that have been gathered while overcoming past challenges and obstacles. There is a distinct protectiveness in this atmosphere. Today’s Cancer Moon may encourage us to define a circle in terms of a defensive stance to protect only those inside our circle. However, we will see that circle expanding today and compassion seems to win out over picking sides of us vs. them. Wasps keep insect populations down, supporting the growth of plants. So, too, the sting of life may hurt and you may feel deeply disappointed or even resentful that Wasp Spirit has shown up, but you will soon come to see that Spirit has something wonderful in store for you.

You may well come to realize that being stung led to something far better than you had envisioned for yourself. Perhaps, behind the scenes, Wasp Spirit was conspiring with Spirit to ensure that you could grow something of value to you. Spirit has a plan, and Wasp Spirit plays a part.

Have you ever looked back and been glad your prayers weren’t answered because the path you took led to something far better? Wasp Spirit is a reminder to reflect on those times, for today’s sting may hurt, but something better awaits you.
