The new moon in Aquarius squares off with Uranus in Taurus and connects with Saturn in Aquarius. Coincidentally, Uranus is the modern planetary ruler of Aquarius, and Saturn is the traditional ruler of Aquarius. Although we entered a new year a month ago, this energy takes us back to the Saturn-Uranus squares of 2021, on February 17, June 14, and December 23. This is the final piece of the puzzle and the drama that happened at that time.

Although, we’re deep into a Mercury retrograde, and the Venus retrograde just ended two days ago, we’re beginning to break free from the constructs and societal norms that have been preventing us from being our truest selves. This aspect could bring sudden changes, upheavals, and losses our way, all of which we won’t see coming.

It is also a celestial call for you to let your freak flag fly. The advice is don’t resist change. Allow yourself to experience newness. If you aren’t open to growth, you’ll stay stuck in the past. Breathe fresh air into your life and blossom.

Today’s Aquarius New Moon (9:45 PM PST 12° Aquarius) highlights the need for collaborative group effort. Strong egos and individual actions do not have the power and weight that we may be hoping for. This is a rather challenging New Moon which does not automatically supply the kinds of connections that we need. In fact, we may not fully realize how important our need for input actually is here without a clear, definitive plan for gathering further input. Responsibility is high and intentions are likely mostly good. Nonetheless, we must develop a sense of responsibility that includes others. In this atmosphere, we are most certainly our brother’s keeper. There is a strong sense of restriction that comes with this sense of humanitarian responsibility that is not a simple equation to solve.
