The moon enters Cancer today, setting the stage for the first full moon of 2022. We’ll be forced to see things that we haven’t seen before (and we didn’t see coming).
This eye-opening full moon could urge us to reflect on what we’re giving to others versus what they’re giving to us. There could be a lot of tears, but keep in mind that crying is good for the body and soul. It releases pent-up anxieties and frustrations as well as endorphins and oxytocin, the feel-good chemicals in our bodies. Therefore, it’s important to unlock your feelings and let all your emotions flow.
The full moon can push us outside our comfort zone, so it’s important to take care of oneself during this luminary. A soothing and healing bath can help us feel better about our situation and relationship. Also, show yourself more self-love, which is what we all need right now. If you need a good cry, so be it. Don’t be afraid or ashamed to let your emotions flow as the moon completes its waxing phase.
With the Cancer Moon’s emotional intensity comes some pride and aggression that may seem as though some of us are looking to pick a fight. By maintaining some detachment and compassion, we can begin to see that the intensity is actually coming from the need to find a new and meaningful sense of stability. But if the cost of stability is the loss of freedom, most are inclined to just keep looking. Despite today’s challenges or intensity, this is a rather hopeful, optimistic environment. Maintaining detachment will further enhance the adventurous desire to seek out new options. Resourcefulness, in this environment, can produce magical breakthroughs when we begin to find new ways to use the tools that have simply been sitting at our feet for a long time, just waiting to be picked up.

2022 LUNAR CALENDAR
JAN 17: FULL MOON IN CANCER: Your feeling of safety is now related to your home, family and related activities such as cooking and gardening. You may be prone to emotional fluctuations; you should learn to forgive and forget in order to avoid depression from thinking too much about things. Your perception of the world can be very subjective; try to create a certain distance without being bitter. Due to your rich emotional manifestation you can create a real sense of belonging in the world.
JAN 25: LAST QUARTER MOON IN SCORPIO: Moon in Scorpio creates the need to delve into your feelings as deep as possible. You desire meaningful emotional exchanges now more than at any other time even if it is not easy and you are forced to change many things. Shallow relationships do not satisfy you, because they are not purifying enough.
Chameleon Spirit shares her gift with you today to prepare you for changes that will greatly benefit you. Outer conditions are changing, and you’re required to come into harmony with them so you can co-create your greatest dream.
Feeling sensitive? Good, because that will come in handy, enabling you to determine how best to adapt to your environment and the people in it, while at the same time maintaining your integrity and inner equilibrium.
Even if you feel like you’re in uncharted territory, Chameleon Spirit has complete faith in your ability to fit in and learn the lay of the land, adapting as necessary. This is a fortunate time to “act as if” and “do as others do” until the new ways feel familiar and completely natural.
Life is offering you a great lesson now: adapting isn’t about losing yourself; it’s about learning how to dance with others.
