Today, Saturn in Aquarius squares off with Uranus in Taurus, the last of these squares for this year. The juxtaposing energies between traditional (Saturn) and modern (Uranus) ways of thinking can be intense. We could feel as though we’re being held back, making us want to push forward even more. Rebelling against the status quo creates tension in our lives. We yearn to break free from the oppressive structures that have been hindering us.
This transit has occurred twice already in 2021: on February 17 and June 14. The story began on February 17, occurring during Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio, and Leo seasons, which means that energy was ongoing and triggered in those 30-day solar cycles throughout the year.
Change is happening, such as in one’s career or relationship status, but you might not be ready for the upheaval that’s about to occur in your life. Instead of running away from transformation, lean into it. You’re in need of a makeover, and change can help reinvigorate the energy.
On a personal level, tension could be rising on the home front. The only way to deal with it is to have an open discussion with your partner or family members about your needs. Don’t hold back your feelings.
Today’s atmosphere may feel extremely difficult to navigate. Venus retrograde is returning to a passionate and creative exact conjunction with Pluto tonight. The issues on the table today are centered on structure and guidelines. We are in the midst of the third of 3 exact Saturn-Uranus squares — the aspect that has had us facing obstacles and feeling slowdowns all year. Today’s atmosphere is likely to encourage us to conform to whatever available structures and guidelines that we can find. However, since the Saturn-Uranus interaction is breaking down old structures, we may not really be able to find any safety in conformity no matter how much we want to. While Venus is retrograde, creative inspiration may not seem to offer any adequate alternatives and so we are likely to try to fall back on the remnants of old structures — which may feel quite cold and hollow. If we do try to expand our perspective and conform to new or emerging guidelines, we are likely to look or feel out of touch or even erratic and irresponsible.
