Happy Halloween and Samhain! The energy is very dense today even though there aren’t many astrological aspects happening in the sky. The reason is because today marks the halfway point between the fall equinox and winter solstice. It’s the beginning of the “darker” half of the year. The autumnal harvest is now over and we’re slowly moving toward winter. In the Northern Hemisphere, the sun sets earlier and the temperature begins to drop.

An ancient Celtic feast day, Samhain has blended with All Souls’ Day to become a major celebration of life. It’s a time to put squabbles aside and come together as a community, which is the effect of Uranus on the moon today (Uranus, which is retrograde in Taurus, gives the Virgo moon a sense of unity with others).

The veil between the spiritual and material worlds is very thin at Samhain, which can attract unwanted energy or spirits into our energy fields and homes.
