Today’s waxing crescent moon in Cancer aspects Neptune and Pluto. Neptune’s energy can confuse emotions and situations by making us turn a blind eye to critical matters. It can also mark a creatively fluid time. The moon opposing Pluto threatens our sense of security. Times are changing, and it’s time to make a move to evolve.
But don’t just lean into a different vibe and blindly leap forward. On a bad day, Pluto can bring out power struggles and triangular relationships. Note that “love triangle” doesn’t necessarily mean that a third party is involved in a personal relationship. It can also mean that things like religious issues or a desire for professional acclaim and fame can stand between you and a partner.
Power struggles are common with a moon-Pluto opposition. The need to always be “right” and in control can cause arguments. Pluto in Capricorn opposing the moon in Cancer can add obsession and heaviness to relationships and projects.
The moon enters Leo this evening, changing the flow of energy and offering a much-needed breath of fresh air for everyone.
Today’s danger is that we become focused too much on acquisition and status and lose touch with the creative kernel of our individual vision. This week’s struggle has been seen in the interplay between our understanding of freedom and responsibility. We need to be responsible to ourselves and our unique perspective and vision. And we also need to stay free enough with ourselves and others in order to learn and grow and be influenced by the interactions we have with others. In other words, we aren’t truly free if we resist the important messages the we receive from the Universe through the people we find around us. For some, this may seem paradoxical to our understanding of the questions around freedom and responsibility. The Moon is void-of-course for much of the day today, from 9:09 AM PDT until 5:20 PM PDT, which only exacerbates the emotionally unsettled energy that keeps us looking for some validation from others.
