Today brings the first eclipse of the year, this morning’s supermoon lunar eclipse in Sagittarius. Like all lunar eclipses, this one can put drama front and center in our lives. This can be avoided if we lean into the higher vibe of Sagittarius, a sign known for its honesty.
And we can all expect to be emotionally, mentally, and physically pushed to the limit. Mercury will turn retrograde in three days, which can instill a bit of paranoia and confusion. This could cause you to postpone implementing any personal or professional decisions.
The lunar eclipse occurs in Sagittarius, so there will be no separation between emotion and logic. You’ll be motivated to speak your mind and be very direct. However, this could backfire because most people don’t want to hear the truth about themselves. But you won’t be able to stop yourself from opening your mouth and being totally frank with your feelings.
Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, aspects this luminary. The energy could push sentiments over the top. This isn’t a bad thing as long as you know when to cut off the noise before matters heat up too much.
This is also a wonderful opportunity for all of us to take back our power from those who aim to hold us back from success. A word of advice: Don’t be afraid.
The early morning Full Moon (4:13 AM PDT 5° Sagittarius/Gemini) scatters our thoughts and fragments our emotions. We are pulled in opposing directions with few guiding markers to help us ground our energy enough to make tangible progress. Nonetheless, the fracturing energy of the Full Moon makes it possible for us to see a myriad of new perspectives and offers the opportunity to make exciting new connections. The challenges here are centered on how to maintain something like an overarching vision when we find so many different things to explore and understand. In some sense, today’s experience may be best understood in terms of fractals — look for the repeating patterns in order to recognize the bigger picture.
