Today’s Virgo moon is ready to rock and roll. The Virgo moon is typically analytical and reflective, but today it isn’t accessing its usually patient and relaxing nature.
The moon creates a t-square—a fraught aspect with two planetary squares and an opposition—to set off the cosmic energy. This particular t-square involves the Virgo moon, Mercury (which turns retrograde on May 29) in Gemini, and Neptune in Pisces. Mercury squares the moon and Neptune, and the moon and Neptune oppose each other.
T-squares are hard to ignore. They demand action and attention and require that things get remedied. Communication could be more confusing because we aren’t hearing all the facts or we’re choosing to ignore them to fit the narrative we want. Be careful here. Mercury and Neptune can create a slippery slope of misinformation in which the truth is hard to come by.
Add the lunar element and a lot of emotions can come to the surface. When this happens, there’s a need to discuss our feelings with others no matter how hard they may be to articulate. This can lead to temper tantrums if we can’t find the words.
The moon enters Libra in the evening, harmonizing with the Gemini sun by the end of the day. This allows you to relax before bedtime and take a moment to calm down from the frenetic energy of the day.
Enthusiasm and intellectual curiosity expand significantly today as the Sun completes the square to Jupiter and the Moon trines Pluto. This is a heady atmosphere — the need for caution is not easily recognized. The Moon is void-of-course for most of the afternoon, from 12:55 PM PDT and 6:35 PM PDT. Although there may be some grumbling about you should check your facts while the Moon is void-of-course in Virgo, there are few brakes on the building expectations. Once the Moon arrives in Libra this evening, there is even more vivacious excitement and optimism but the fact is that much of the information is unlikely to be reliable.

- Mercury is retrograde from May 29th and goes Direct on June 22nd in the signs of Gemini/Taurus
- Jupiter is retrograde from June 20th and goes Direct on October 18th in the signs of Aquarius/Capricorn
- Venus is retrograde from December 19th and goes Direct on January 29th (2022) in the signs of Capricorn/Sagittarius
- Saturn is retrograde from May 23rd and goes Direct on October 11th in the sign of Capricorn
