Today is the day to get down to business. Steady effort is rewarded while recklessness is quickly corralled. We may be tempted towards distracting dead ends and wasted effort but the rewards of laser focus are readily apparent. Some of today’s distractions may come through our friends and associates and we may need to learn the lesson that he travels fastest who travels alone. We may also find ourselves dealing with the challenges of a need for ego gratification — approval from others — and some kind of validation of our accomplishments. We’re better off if we follow our own guidance without looking too far outside of ourselves for validation.

The moon in watery Cancer heightens our psychic and sensitive side today. We’ll be feeling more empathic and emotional than normal, and a square between the moon and healing asteroid Chiron threatens to drain our energy a bit. The temptation to stay in bed all day will be real, and it’s okay to sleep in a little if you can afford to do it.

Luckily, Uranus enters the picture about midday as well, unexpectedly hitting us with inspiration. Be sure to take this as an opportunity to get moving if you had a slower start to the day.

As afternoon rolls in, Uranus and the moon continue to get along, bringing wonderful surprises and a bit of brilliance our way. Be sure to journal any exceptional ideas you have throughout the day, and be open to psychic downloads from the other side.

Once evening settles in and the moon forms a soft aspect to Venus, your affectionate side comes out to play. You could be in the mood for some love and nurturing. Use the atmosphere provided by this aspect to have a romantic time with your heart’s desire. Spend the evening together cooking food, cuddling on the couch, and binge-watching your favorite show. If you’re single, do the same thing but focus the love on yourself. Go ahead and tell yourself how smart and pretty you are!
