We tend to hold our opinions and any residual optimism much closer today. The balance tips towards skepticism and our focus is more intently directed towards making our case effectively — step by methodical step. Activity is geared towards planning and organizing but there still aren’t a whole lot of effective guidelines and we should be especially cautious about making too many long term commitments without fully clarifying the terms and conditions. We’re better off today staying in the realm of thoughtful consideration rather than trying to firm up specifics.

THE WEEK AHEAD: There is an optimistic atmosphere on Sunday, tempered by a note of skepticism. Since there are few guidelines to adhere to, we may be tempted to make overly optimistic pronouncements. We are a bit more circumspect on Monday, keeping our opinions a little closer to the vest. We should be careful of making long term commitments without fully clarifying the terms and conditions. The continuing lack of clear guidelines produces a nervous feeling of vulnerability on Tuesday. Without some intuitive insight, the vulnerability could lead to a general feeling of frustration. Deceptive manipulation could lead to some disturbing distractions and complications on Wednesday. Responsibility is a key factor in how well we avoid stirring up more trouble than we can deal with. Honesty and sincerity serve to provide increased clarity on Thursday. There is little support for ‘sophisticated’ problem solving so we should do our best to avoid short-term complications and maintain our focus on long-term goals. Creativity and self-assurance provides important opportunities for thoughtful consideration and important input from others.. The Moon is void-of-course for most of the day on Saturday but the shifts of Venus and the Sun mark a significant shift in tone and approach. We should be careful to maintain our balance and not get drawn off course by distractions.

As we begin to work with the potential of last Saturday’s Scorpio New Moon (9:07 PM PST 23° Scorpio) and the increasing energy of the direct motion of Mars in Aries, we run into a myriad of distracting complications. It isn’t until the end of the week, when Venus arrives in truth-seeking Scorpio and the Sun arrives in truth-proclaiming Sagittarius, that we can begin to make meaningful progress. Nonetheless, there is ample room for thoughtful consideration so long as we stay out of the complication rabbit holes. The building energy from Mars is significant but, unfortunately, there are few guidelines or satisfactory channels for us to direct that building energy. The result is an increasing feeling of vulnerability which could easily turn into frustration without some help from some kind of an internal guidance system – intuition. The lack of obvious guidelines does allow plenty of room for creativity but may also offer opportunities for some deceptive manipulation. Responsibility is key. By toying with the underlying frustrations and vulnerabilities — either for amusement, personal gain, or to sow confusion — we could easily create more trouble that we are prepared to handle effectively. It isn’t easy to fully understand how high the stakes really are this week. We should not underestimate the initial power and energy that is carried forward by the newly direct Mars in Aries. Although it may not be fully apparent this week, we are laying the groundwork for managing that energy effectively — or losing control of it entirely. Thoughtful consideration and sincere interest in the perspectives of others will help to keep the increasing energy from spiraling out of control. With help from the available creative energy, we will begin to understand how to best make use of the new levels of energy in ways that support and stabilize our connection with others. Without honoring those connections, we may find our frustration increasing quickly.
