Mars returns to make the second of three intense squares to Pluto today. We continue to be inclined to work in the shadows but today’s intensity is likely to lead to some sort opening, exposure, or revelation. Venus is approaching a sextile with Mercury, loosening the tight grip on information and increasing our willingness to share our intentions. Nonetheless, the idea of compromise is still likely to seem to be a mountain too high to climb. We are extremely sensitive to the price we pay whenever we give up a piece of our vision and our principles. The Moon’s trine to Neptune this evening helps us to intuitively recognize who to trust — and how much to trust them.

With the last quarter moon in the watery sign of Cancer right off the bat, it’s a day to focus on your home and family needs. This can be tough because the square with the sun in Libra can be prone to people-pleasing energy. That just doesn’t go well with what the universe is requiring of the collective these days. Maybe you’re currently learning that you are your own family, even if you have regrets over something or someone who recently left the picture.

Remember that most of the transits are not for the faint of heart in general. Retrograde Mars in Aries in square to Pluto in Capricorn has not let up on the gas at all! It isn’t your fault or responsibility to be an emotional punching bag in any respect. The theme of abuse of power dominates the conversation overall. Having tremendous compassion for yourself and your closest loved ones is the most important thing. Everything else can really just shove it where the sun don’t shine. Seriously!

Remember that you are a human being living the human experience, and that this experience is being really harsh in general on a grander scale. Addictive cycles and dramatic patterns are also a possibility for some who are trying to cope with these changes. Taking the curious approach to your thoughts is the best way to determine any solutions. Prioritizing your basic needs is going to help you through the tough times, as will knowing that there are so many who are feeling this way, too. The beauty of the day is in knowing how amazing you are and how much the universe loves you.
