The Moon is void-of-course all day today. The challenges may seem insurmountable and our progress may very well be slowed. Nonetheless, follow-through on earlier initiatives will offer significant gains — we just shouldn’t expect to achieve completion or see the full picture today. Although Mars is not quite in the shadow of the next retrograde phase (September 8th – November 13th), today may give us a taste of the sort of frustration to come during that upcoming period. (Mars will not actually reach the shadow until July 25th) There are likely to be a myriad of distractions to tempt us off course or drain our energy. In general, we’ll do better to take a step back today.

The ultimate self-care challenge starts before you even begin your day when the asteroid Ceres goes retrograde in Pisces. It’s time to prioritize yourself, but it’s not all about being selfish. In fact, this practice can make you a better partner, lover, friend, and family member because you’ll learn to love yourself in a more productive way throughout this retrograde period. If some of your relationships feel somewhat codependent, they may not survive, but then again, maybe they aren’t meant to.

You’ll likely get the sense that you’ve been blessed with some good fortune with the Venus-Jupiter sesquiquadrate today. Do your best not to overindulge in all the delicious gifts in store for you, but that could be a difficult task. This energy lends itself to a pang of hunger for living life to the fullest. You could find yourself desiring the highest-quality goods to satiate those desires for the ultimate in opulence. You may also find yourself more interested in other cultures and attracted to people with a great deal of success and money.

There will likely be little to no patience for anything but the facts, and you’ll seek justice and the most ethical solution. This is just fine during the Mars-Pluto quintile tonight, allowing you to let your freak flag fly as high as you want.
