We reach the crucial 1st quarter of the current lunar phase today and the challenges may seem immense. Jupiter is slowing down (along with Venus) and will retrograde on May 14th — the day after Venus begins her retrograde phase. Challenges surround material resources and supply are sure to surface. We get important clues as to the nature of these challenges today. Mercury’s conjunction with Uranus supercharges our intellect and sharpens our insight. The need for caution and self-control is increasingly apparent but so, too, is the need for qualified leadership. The lessons of this lunar cycle will help us to find wisdom as we move through the review phases of both Jupiter and Venus. Though enhanced wisdom, we are quite likely to identify new leaders.

Today brings dramatic developments as the moon moves through Leo. The Leo moon reaches first quarter phase, bringing a change in direction. The energy is ramping up as we move to the Scorpio full moon.

Leo is a fixed fire sign that rules the ego, among other things. Taurus is often considered to be stubborn in nature. But as the moon squares the sun, check in with yourself about how you truly feel. Drop the ego, the mask, and whatever prevents you from sharing and receiving the love and connection you desire.

Mercury conjoins Uranus tonight, bringing surprising conversations, information, and perhaps a stroke of genius. Follow up on a hunch and keep an open mind. This could be the breakthrough you’ve been waiting for.
