The Moon is void-of-course for much of the day today, from 7:42 AM PST until 2:44 PM PST. Emotions are especially unsettled until the Moon arrives in Leo and trines Venus which has arrived in independent, freedom-loving Aries. We begin to feel the building imperatives ahead of tomorrow’s Full Moon (11:33 PM PST 20° Leo/Aquarius). Our understanding has evolved significantly this week and we begin to see new colors in our palette. In other words, we gain new creative insights and recognize new uses for the creative tools that we have assembled. Although the progress has been erratic, there are elements of stubbornness that have kept our eyes on the prize. In essence, today offers some encouragement that our progress has been important — albeit, unsteady, and our faith is bolstered.

There’s a sense of waking up with an (emotional) hangover as the Cancer moon opposes Pluto and Saturn this morning. You’re reflecting on your limits and all that has surfaced. The tide is turning. This is a chance to release baggage, situations, and structures you’ve outgrown. As the day progresses, the energy shifts from emotional to fiery and passionate. Venus, the planet of love, relationships, and money, enters Aries, followed by the moon entering Leo, moving to the full moon tomorrow.

Venus was exalted in Pisces. She is said to be in detriment in Aries, where it isn’t easy for her to express her energy naturally. Venus represents the principle of attraction. In a sign ruled by Mars (action), she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it, but this can be seen as going against the norm of society. The transit of Venus in Pisces showed us the infinite potential in relationships and creative and financial situations. Now we’re moving from an experience of unconditional love to a more passionate, personal love. This is a chance to release illusions. Clarify your desires and dare to reach for them.
