The Moon is void-of-course this morning until 10:20 AM PST. There is an inclination to pull back today in order to regroup and restructure our base of power and control. However, individual motivations vary considerably and there is little hope of finding any overarching sense of stability or security. Material resources are a prime motivator here, with widely diverging opinions regarding their proper appropriation. There does not seem to be any way to firm up consensus and no clear sense of direction to coalesce around.

The moon reaches its last quarter phase today as it squares the sun in Capricorn. We’re at the halfway point between the last Cancer eclipse and the upcoming Aquarius new moon on January 24. This is an inner checkpoint and turning point, offering a chance to make important choices and be clear on where you stand in light of all that has surfaced in the past week.

The moon enters Scorpio, and change is here now. Scorpio is a fixed water sign. The moon is said to be in its fall in Scorpio. Scorpio represents a process of metamorphosis. With the moon here, there’s a deep emotional transformation underway, but it will mean consciously releasing painful emotions rather than suppressing or projecting them.

The Scorpio moon squares Mercury in Aquarius, opposes Uranus in Taurus, and finally trines Venus in Pisces. Expect powerful conversations and revelations asking that we move inward to resolve, release, and absorb what’s being said. There are breakthroughs on the way, giving way to a sweeter flow of energy. Surrender to the changes unfolding. Let go of expectations and you could be pleasantly surprised.
