We’re moving in the right direction today, leaving behind some of the superficiality of the past couple days, potentially finding answers that we so diligently seek. Avoid allowing the ego to cause defensive responses now that will keep opportunities we are presented with from developing like they might otherwise. We are asked to continue with our “nose to the grindstone” mindset to avoid distractions, impatience, and sensitivity. Work serves us well currently, so it’s the perfect time to get some things done that have been on your list for a while. Stick to tried-and-true processes especially in the face of emotional flare-ups of those around you. You’re the calm at the center of the storm, and this may help lessen some of the intensity of others’ reactions. There are numerous opportunities to engage with a deepened connection and important insights.

On Sunday, there may be more inclination to isolation, rather than any desire to pursue yesterday’s breakthroughs. The approaching 3rd quarter lunar phase may leave some of us smoldering with subtle tinges of resentment, disappointment, and fatalism. Impulsiveness surfaces in response to any restrictions or obstacles. Nonetheless, despite the unsteady undercurrents, today’s atmosphere is reasonably pleasant with support for exploration and investigation. Although determination may seem to waver under these last few days of the Sun’s transit through Libra, we should not doubt that a second wind will strengthen resolve once the Sun arrives in Scorpio on Wednesday.

When we consider the planets in our solar system and beyond, think of them as characters with personalities all their own, whose stories reflect the energy we experience through our senses and chakras here on Earth. There’s an entire mythology surrounding these characters, and we are often called to play a part in certain stories throughout each year. These stories must make sense to the recipient, otherwise the mathematics and geometry of astrology bogs down the meaning. Astrology should be accessible and understandable. It should speak to you in a clear, concise way without getting tripped up by the nuts and bolts of how it all works. It’s the astrologer’s responsibility to tell your story, framed by the story of the planets, so that you can avail yourself of the opportunities that present themselves, or avoid the aspects that might be worrisome to you.  After all, astrology is largely the story of humanity and our role in it. Like the mythologies of ancient civilizations, astrology speaks to us directly, if we choose to listen. It takes into account free will, and it can be quite personal if we allow ourselves to consider it in such a way. It’s not authoritative in that you feel like you “must” do this or “must” do that. It’s a simple guide that provides you with the weather on your personal journey through this life.
