Sun joins Venus and Mars in process-oriented Virgo this morning, while Virgo’s ruler, Mercury, is building to a quincunx* with Pluto. These energies create lessons of self-approval and self-confidence and bring them to a powerful fruition. When we waste time criticizing others (Virgo energy) so that we can falsely elevate our own efforts, we completely miss the message the cosmos is providing. Now that our self-confidence is running at higher levels than ever before, we can graciously offer service to others in a meaningful way.

All the challenging work we’ve done these past weeks around self-worth and self-esteem is paying off. It always makes sense to take care of ourselves before being able to take care of others. When we neglect our needs, we cannot operate at full capacity. Something lacks when we’re feeling depleted and lost. Now that we’ve laid the foundation, we can begin to build on it.

With the Moon moving into Gemini, we find ourselves making harmonious contributions in communication and creativity. Moon squares Mars later, making our conversations calmer and quieter, but say what you have to say because patience is not something others will have on hand.

* The inconjunct or quincunx aspect in astrology is formed between planets that are roughly 150 degrees apart. The planets and points involved in a quincunx don’t understand each other. Unless it’s an out-of-sign quincunx, the signs not only are of a different element, they are also of a different modality.
